Wooden bridge collapsed into mountains of Medellin

The community of Santo Domingo Savio neighborhood are in emergency by the collapse of the roof of a bamboo bridge that connecting the two parts of the city. The fear of people increases because the structure threatens to slide completely.

This bridge is located on top of the northeastern mountains of Medellin, and was built between the Sena and the Local Municipality, through the Empresa de Desarrollo Urbano (EDU), defying gravity and the steep topography of the area.

Various problems such as warping, maintenance, location conditions, would be some causes of this incident.
