Continue evacuating residential units in Colombia

There are many reports of cracks, subsidence and structural failure in the country, after the collapse of a residential building (Space) of Medellin. Construction on unstable areas, little soil preparation and inefficiencies in planning estructural, would be some of the causes. 

The director of emergency preparedness in Bogota, Javier Pava, confirmed that the residential buildings and Calatayut, will be watched to see if they need to be evacuated.

The following facts account for a problem that is against the peace and life of the owners and the surrounding socio-environmental.

The News of Senado informed about the risk of collapse of housings in the department of Caldas.

On October 23, Caracol Radio reported that 180 residential apartments in the Colina Campestre Dos residential unit (Barranquilla), have structural deterioration. Several apartments have cracks and subsidence structures. Some residents have been evacuated .
